It was established by a group of 5 people in Bobi and Lakwana subcounty in Omoro District to carry out the activities of supporting and caring for the elderly persons with the basic necessities of life during covid-19 pandemic. This initiative came in timely to solve some of the plights and to preserve the dignity of elderly persons, especially during the lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic where there was no mobility of people and this particularly made accessibility of some basic needs extremely difficult coupled with the already faced problems of poor nutrition and health, leading lonely life yet weak, low levels of creativity and innovation which had perpetrated poverty and low standards of living. This organization therefore brings new insights into addressing concerns of elderly persons specifically in improving livelihoods of elderly persons through food security and livelihood mainly through enhancing Agricultural Productivity and Marketing, Village Saving and Loan Association VSLA, Construction of rubbish Pit, boreholes (clean source of water), Pit latrines and outside utensil stand for better survival and development in the whole of West Acholi districts. A healthy community is a stronger one and productive elderly persons are wealth to not only the community where they come from but also to the entire nation because they are custodians of history, culture, norms, discipline, respect, and morals.
